Required browser settings
       
To use Topobase Internet C-PlanŽ you will need a Internet browser (IE 6.x, NS7) with the following settings...  
 
Check each item or scroll down to the section you need.  
JavaScript  
To login and fully use Topobase Internet functionality, JavaScript must be enabled in your browser.

Step One - Getting ready...  
  • select 'Tools' from the menu bar, then
  • select 'Internet Options...' from the drop down list (see Figure 1.)
  • choose the 'Security' tab,
  • select the 'Custom Level...' option.
  
       
Step Two - Checking JavaScript is enabled...

  • scroll right down to the section called 'Scripting'
  • make sure 'Active scripting' is enabled (see Figure 2.)
  • click 'OK' and then 'OK' again.
  
Cookies      
To use Topobase Internet, you need to enable Cookies in your browser. We use session cookies. Each time you view a new page on our server, a message is sent back in order to authenticate the request. These session cookies are not permanently stored on your computer - they are deleted when you log out of Topobase Internet .      
Internet Explorer 6 will normally allow you to accept session cookies. If however, you have had a message from us asking you to allow session cookies - you can do one of three things:      
1. Lower your privacy settings...      

Step One - Getting ready...

     
  • select 'Tools' from the menu bar, then
  • select 'Internet Options...' from the drop down list (see Figure 1.)
  • choose the 'Privacy' tab.
      
Step Two - Changing your privacy settings...      
  • if your privacy settings is higher than the default 'Medium' - click the 'Default' button
  • click 'OK'.
     
2. Customise the privacy setting you have set...
Note: you can't do this if your privacy setting is 'Block all cookies'.

  • select 'Tools' from the menu bar, then
  • select 'Internet Options...' from the drop down list (see Figure 1.)
  • choose the 'Privacy' tab.

  • click the 'Advanced' button, then
  • select 'Override automatic cookie handling',
  • select 'Always allow session cookies' (see Figure 3.)
  • click 'OK', and then 'OK' again.
 
3. Allow cookies only from Topobase Internet
Note: you can't do this if your privacy setting is 'Block all cookies'. 		 
Step One - Getting ready...  
  • select 'Tools' from the menu bar, then
  • select 'Internet Options...' from the drop down list (see Figure 1.)
  • choose the 'Privacy' tab.
  
Step Two - Allowing Topobase Internet cookies...

  • click the 'Edit' button, then
  • type in 'http://www. ...'(this Serveraddress) under 'Address of Web site' (see Figure 4.)
  • select 'Allow'
  • click 'OK', and then 'OK' again.
